A new resource produced by NHS Health Scotland will help to support NHS Boards in reducing health inequalities. The resource “Maximising the Role of NHS Scotland in Reducing Health Inequalities” aims to provide senior NHS staff with advice on how they can contribute to reducing health inequalities. A paper submitted to the March 2017 NHS Board acknowledged there are areas of good practice to address inequalities going on across the NHS, however, knowledge, skills and confidence of staff could be developed further.
